The PINK Capital of Sacramento

On Thursday (Feb.19) I went to the Susan G Komen kick off for The Race For The Cure. It was just a small get together of cheerleaders performing "The Cure" cheer, the Top Fundraisers, Survivor stories, and prizes. :) And best of all they made the capital of Sacramento PINK!! :) It looked SO cool...I wish it could be PINK all the time...lol. Diego had lots of fun watching the cheerleaders and playing with the PINK glow sticks that they gave us.

Team~Sissy~Law will once again have a team and we would love to have LOTS of team members!! So, if you'd like to join our team just let me know!! We'd love to have you!! I'll be setting up our team page soon! I'll keep you posted.

My twins are here....finally!!!

Celise & Jamie

I am so excited to announce to the world that my twin niece and nephew have finally arrived!! Jamie Brandon Huizar & Celise Teresa Huizar were born on February 15th, 2009. Although they were born at 38 weeks, it felt a lot longer than that waiting for them to join our family. They are perfectly perfect!! Jamie was born @ 10:14am weighing in at 5lbs 14oz and 18 inches long. Celise was born @ 10:21am weighing in at 6lbs 1oz and 18 inches long. It was a scary wait because Celise was breach and Andrea really really wanted to deliver both the babies naturally. Thanks to our "gaurdian angel" Grandma Teresa, Celise turned around all by herself and came right out with no problems!! Thank you Grandma for always being there for us, even though we can't see you or touch you, we know you are here making sure we are all safe and healthy! We miss you terribly! We hope you like Celise's middle name :)

Here is a picture of Celise taking her very 1st bath!! She was SO damn cute!! She loved it and didn't even cry. I absolutely love this picture that I took of her enjoying her bath!! She's so gonna love having SPA days with Tia Nikki :)

This is Jamie! He's totally waving to me (his favorite Tia!!) already!! Only an hour old and totally waving to me :)

I am super obessed with them already :) I can't stop looking at my pictures of them because I miss them already...I can't wait to go hold and snuggle with them!! Maybe tomorrow...I'm trying to not be a "pest" because I want to be over there 24/7 :)

Pee Pee in the Potty!!

I am SUPER excited to share with you all that Diego is finally POTTY TRAINED!!! I never thought it was actually going to happen! He started showing lots of interest when he was just about 2 years old...BUT...my son is a teeny tiny little guy and at the time there were NO "choonies" (undies, but we call them choonies in our house) that would fit that lil booty :) So...he finally gained some lbs and I was able to shrink 2T choonies to fit him this past summer...BUT....thanks to the last few teeth that he didn't have yet he ended up getting diarreah for almost 2 weeks :( So all my hard work that I had done for 2 weeks went right out the window! Damnit man!!

Then...I told my self that I was going to potty train him over Christmas break while I was off of work for 2 weeks...BUT...once again UNSUCCESSFUL!! Well...it's mostly my fault this time...instead of staying home and focusing on the potty training we were out and about the whole 2 weeks then towards the end of the break we all got really sick...so that was that...no potty training, once again!

Then...this weekend while I was snoozing away Diego was down stairs with my Momma and told her that he wanted to wear Buzz choonies (Buzz light year)...so they came up stairs and got the choonies. My mom was telling him how he was going to be a big boy like his cousin's and his friend Daniel (our neighbor). Diego was SO pleased to hear that he was going to be like Daniel that he kept those choonies on ALL weekend and had only 2 accidents in 3 days! YIPPIE!! I'm was getting SO tired of buying diapers!! Well...now I will get about 8 months free of diaper buying ;)

Diego is having fun being a big boy and showing anyone & everyone his big boy choonies! :)

YEAH DIEGO!! WE LOVE YOU BIG BOY!!

My, Oh My...

Happy New Year!! Yea, yea...I know I'm a month late for that saying but O'well!! Man....it's been a yucky beginning to 2009! I got an yucky cold starting on new year's eve, which I am STILL fighting!! Dammit!! I got that damn cold and then Diego got it...then Diego got the stomach flu for 11 days!! It was absolute HELL at my house for those 11 days!! My poor baby was SO sick and he is super tiny so he could not afford to lose the weight that he was losing :( He literally looked like those kids from Ethiopia that you see on the commercials! It was heartbreaking!

Well...we finally got over the flu and he got better and back to normal. The weird thing is that he didn't talk for like 2 days and then when he started to talk again it was like his vocabulary had grown enormously! So weird!

I have been keeping my straight A's going with school!! YIPPIE!! This Monday I started a new class, unfortunalty it's a communication class and has nothing to do with child development...so we shall see if I can keep up with my straight A's...keep your fingers crossed for me :)

Let's see...what else is going on since my last post?? My brother's twins should be here anyday now...I can't wait!!!! If she doesn't go into labor before February 14th (Valentine's Day) the doctors will be inducing her labor. Poor poor Andrea is SO miserable and uncomfortable :( I feel so bad for her!!

Budget cuts!! Man, oh man...this is SO scary!! It's so unbelievable how much money just the EGUSD has to cut!! They have to make $15 million cuts now, $24(ish)million for next school year 09/10, and $26(ish) million the following school year 10/11!! I can't believe it!! Over 200 people in the same position as me will lose their job! :( Luckily, I have a pretty secure spot because of being in severly handicapped classification but could be bumped if someone else in the district loses their position and has more seniority over me. The good thing is that they have to have the same classification as me and there aren't too many SH classifications out there, there are more mild/moderate classifications within the district. Unfortanatley, Project RIDE wasn't so lucky in the proposed cuts for next year :( The district is planning to cut $90,000 from them...which will deeply affect us because our student's ride the horses once a week all year long!! I just hope something can change and fix these problems!! I'll keep praying!

Last but not LEAST, my newest news for the year is that Steve, Diego and I are expecting a new addition to our family!! Our new addition should be arriving sometime in September...I'm only 6 weeks and 5 days prego...still very early. I have been sicker than a dog!! And just want to naseasness to GO AWAY!! Diego asked me if I had Buzz Light Year in my tummy the other night...too funny! :)
